Tsvetan Tomov brings over 15 years of experience in industrial automation and machine vision systems. Having engineered over 40 complex robotic lines for global automotive manufacturers (including BMW, Tesla, and Daimler), Tsvetan applies the same rigorous engineering standards and reliability to VELAN’s software architecture.

Iva Tomova

Iva brings 20 years of hands-on expertise in ophthalmic optics and 17 years of managing a successful optical business. Her deep understanding of daily clinical workflows ensures that every VELAN system is precisely tailored to the needs of modern eye care practices.

About the Brand

VELAN was born out of a real-world clinic challenge – standard acuity systems lacked flexibility, while clumsy software slowed down daily examinations. We joined forces, combining expertise from clinical practice and software engineering, to create a system that operates seamlessly in demanding medical environments. The result is an intuitive tool designed specifically around the specialist’s workflow and the patient’s comfort.
By developing both the hardware architecture and software in-house, we eliminated unnecessary complexity to deliver a plug-and-play solution. This hands-on approach allows us to continually adapt VELAN based on direct feedback from the eye care community.
